Equipment

  1. Acquired cutting-edge Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining equipment featuring the Hammerhead UV Bluelight system.
  2. Eliminated the use of boilers for steam generation, resulting in a significant reduction in emissions.
  3. Reduced the operational time of air compressors, minimizing emission output.
  4. Implemented the use of UV resin, a safe product utilized in manicures and dental procedures.
  5. Adopted a recycling program for materials, diverting them from landfills.
  6. Recycled cast pipe at established scrap yards.
  7. Responsibly dispose of concrete at approved recycling yards.
  8. Recycled excess excavation soil in-house and utilized it where needed.
  9. Ensured proper disposal of plastic pails through Avetia.
  10. Implemented a cardboard recycling bin for recycling cardboard.
  11. Managed leftover paints, oils, etc., by sending them to approved recycling or landfill facilities.
  12. Initiated the relamping of office and shop spaces with energy-efficient LED light
fixtures and bulbs to reduce electric demands.

Processes

  1. Employed environmentally friendly methods like bursting for collapsed drains, eliminating the need for trenching and reducing backhoe run time.
  2. Left old materials in the ground during bursting projects, preventing them from heading to landfills.
  3. Minimized waste generation during lining processes, particularly with CIPP materials and UV resins.
  4. Implemented patching techniques to repair sewer pipes without the need for excavation or complete replacement.

Future Initiatives

  1. Committed to replacing the fleet with hybrid or lower-emission vehicles.
  2. Adopt low carbon footprint tools, such as Tampers, as they become available in the industry.
